Dr. Laurence J. Howe                                                   

       " I am a 1985 graduate of the University of Tennesse School of Dentistry and a Member of the American Dental Association, Arkansas State Dental Association, and the Academy of General Dentistry.  Sherwood has been the home of my private practice ever since I obtained my license.  Sherwood has also been home to my family, including my wife and our three children.  

       My mission of providing the highest standard of care could not be accomplished without the help of an extraordinary team.  My goal is to hire and to retain staff members who look upon their work as a vocation and not just as job.  While it is important in any business to evolve with  technology & new methods, this constant change should not apply to the human element.  When you visit, you will be welcomed by the familiar faces and voices of people who know you, your family, and your dental needs.  I feel strongly that a caring, compassionate attitude is a must for anyone who works in the health-care field.  I am very proud of the people who work for me, as I can trust them to care for my patients as they would care for their own families and mine.  "

       “I am a Certified & Registered Dental Assistant.  I graduated from the dental assisting program at Pulaski Vocational Technical College.  I was fortunate to do my clinical rotation at Dr. Howe’s office and was offered and accepted a position in his office upon completion of my degree in 1991.  I am very lucky and happy to be a part of this excellent dental team that helps patients to understand the importance of good dental care in a friendly, comfortable, and relaxed environment.  My hobbies include gardening (I collect hostas), fishing, and attending yard sales.  One of my greatest adventures was attending a NASCAR racing camp for a week.  During that time, I learned how to handle a car on the track and reached speeds up to 130 miles per hour.”

     “I have been the Receptionist and Administrative Assistant for Dr. Howe since August of 2001.  I graduated from high school in Campbell, MO in 1980 and then attended Cotton Boll Vocational Technical College in Burdette, AR for dental assisting.  I worked as an assistant for 4 years.  I really enjoy working in the dental field; in my free time, I enjoy reading and antique shopping."

      “I am a Registered Dental Hygienist and a native Arkansan who graduated from Vilonia High School in 1994.  After high school, I attended Pulaski Technical College to obtain my degree in Dental Assisting.  I then worked full-time as an assistant for a busy orthodontic practice for 7 years before attending the University of Tennessee Health Science Center in Memphis.  I earned my Bachelors Degree in Dental Hygiene in May of 2005.  While at UT, I was a 2004 Hinman Dental Society Scholar and received The Colgate STAR Award (Student Total Achievement Recognition).  I have been working with Dr. Howe since April of 2006.  Dental Hygiene is a very rewarding profession and I enjoy every aspect of it.”
