RECEPTION AREA AND KIDS' CORNER
We know your time is precious, so we make every effort in our scheduling to reduce the time you spend in our waiting room, but while you are in our reception area, you will find comfortable seating, a variety of family-friendly and up-to-date magazines, as well as books on a multitude of subjects. Authors include Erma Bombeck, Gary Larson (The Far Side), Yogi Berra, Emily Dickinson, & Shel Silverstein. The list goes on and on. For your convenience, a writing table is available to aid in completing those pesky (but necessary) forms. No need to balance a clipboard on your lap!
FIRST IMPRESSIONS are important, particularly with youngsters making their initial visits to a dental office. Achieving a comfort level at such a young age will improve their willingness to schedule regular dental visits for the rest of their lives.
Our Kids' Corner features a bead maze, a display of vintage toys, a collection of story books (topics include "wibbley-wobbley" teeth and tooth fairies), and of course, the always popular Highlights magazines. Proper brushing techniques and wise food choices will be covered with your child during hygiene visits. After treatment, rewards such as stickers, new brushing materials, and balloons complete your child's visit.
FRONT OFFICE
Privacy is a requirement in today's health field and is something we take very seriously. Our front office features lockable record cabinets and password-protected computers for financial and insurance information. The office layout incorporates extra-wide hallways and consultation rooms to provide for private conversation.
TREATMENT ROOMS
Our treatment rooms are designed for your comfort. Music is provided as well as a view of the landscaped courtyard. An intra-oral camera is located in the hygiene room to provide you with a "televised-view" of your teeth & gums. We also are equipped with an air-abrasion unit for "drill-less" cavity repair.
CONSULTATION AND PATIENT EDUCATION ROOM
In our office, we will see to it that you understand treatment procedures and will answer all your questions before beginning a treatment plan. Sometimes it is difficult to know just what questions to ask, so we have available a complete DVD series on various topics that you may view. Just schedule an appointment and you will be given access to our consultation room for a private viewing. This will enable you to make informed decisions regarding your family's dental health. Pamphlets are also available.
STERILIZATION AREA AND PROCEDURES
We follow rigorous rules regarding sterilization of instruments and treatment room surfaces. Instruments are sealed in packages until needed and are removed to our sterilization area immediately following their use. We make use of disposable coverings and tools as much as possible. Rooms are cleaned thoroughly between patients.
HELPFUL FEATURES FOR ELDERLY OR DISABLED PERSONS
Parking for disabled persons is located within 10 feet of our front door. Wide hallways and doorways make movement easier for those who rely on wheelchairs or walkers. Our restroom is spacious and fully-equipped with handrails.
